Case Drain Filter Socket

In the picture below, what you see is a filter bowl for hydraulic systems designed by the Parker Hannefin company. This bowl is used in the Boeing 737 in five different locations. It contains a filter that is replaced at varing time intervals. As noted in the following picture, access to this part is fairly difficult because a large wrench is needed to fit the bottom part of the bowl in order to remove it. I was asked by several mechanics if I could come up with a better solution.
I was able to come up with a socket design that is used with common 3/8 inch drive hand tools making it easy to use. The design is made from AISI P20 steel and simple enough to be readily manufactured in a CNC machine. This item has been a popular hit with aircraft mechanics all over the U.S.
